Dr Solomon completed his orthopaedic training in 2010 at the University of Stellenbosch.
In 2011 he spent 12 months in Wales at the Royal Gwent and St Woolos hospitals (Aneurin Bevan University Health Board) where he super-specialized in Primary & Revision hip replacements.
Dr Solomon returned to South Africa in 2012. He was appointed as the senior specialist at Paarl Provincial Hospital. Here he started a Joint replacement unit where he spent the next 5 years doing more than 200 joint replacements per year.
In 2016 Dr Solomon became the first certified Robotic joint replacement surgeon.
Dr Solomon is currently in full-time private practice at Cape Gate Mediclinic.
Other than Hip and knee replacements Dr Solomon is also an experienced Trauma Surgeon and sports medicine physician.
